Over the past 6 years of working in the commerical photography field as both a lighting tech, digital tech, photographer I’ve come to see light design as the most important part of the mood of an image, or an environment. We might not always be consciously aware of the light of our environment, but it is fundamental to shaping the emotion of a moment, the beauty of a photo, and the quality of a location.

Inspired by the designs of my great-grandfather, I began to explore the restoration, alteration and even creation of lamps, with the aim to make others give a bit more thought to how their own spaces are lit.
